Tamoxifen (Nolvadex®) is a medication in pill form that has been used for more than 25 years to treat breast cancer in women and men. Tamoxifen is one of the most common endocrine therapy drugs. It has been shown to decrease the chance of recurrence in some early-stage breast cancers and to prevent the development of cancer in the opposite breast. Tamoxifen can also slow or stop the growth of cancer cells present in the body. There are an estimated 29 million women at increased risk for breast cancer in this country, and tamoxifen may offer another alternative to watchful waiting or prophylactic (preventative) mastectomy. Tamoxifen is classified as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) and works as an anti-estrogen: While the hormone estrogen promotes the growth of breast cancer cells, tamoxifen works by blocking estrogen from attaching to estrogen receptors on these cells. By blocking the estrogen receptors, it is believed that the growth of the breast cancer cells will be halted. Tamoxifen is only prescribed to patients whose cancer has receptors within the cell that bind to oestrogen, according to Breast Cancer Care. The benefits of hormone therapy on people whose cancers do not have receptors is less clear – however, very few breast cancers fall into this category. Tamoxifen costs just 6p a day and can cut the chance of the disease by a third. In April, a study suggested that just one in seven women eligible to take the cheap breast cancer prevention pill are doing so. Experts estimate about 500,000 higher-risk women - those with a family history of the disease or a faulty gene - could benefit from the drug. But a survey of 258 by the University of Leeds found only 14.7 per cent were taking tamoxifen. Many believed cancer was "down to fate", while others said they did not want to take medication while they were well.

There is a myth in the conventional medical community that says that the natural hormones in a woman’s body cause breast cancer. This couldn’t be. These are some of the many side-effects of Tamoxifen. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 8 years. I switched the other way around. Tamoxifen reduces the risk of getting breast cancer in the opposite breast. Tamoxifen may be prescribed in metastatic cancer that has spread breast cancer in both women and men. Tamoxifen may be prescribed in women with ductal carcinoma in situ DCIS who have completed surgery and radiation therapy.

Tamoxifen has rarely caused very serious (possibly fatal) strokes, blood clots in the lungs/legs, and cancer of the uterus. If you are taking tamoxifen to reduce the risk of breast cancer, or if your cancer is limited to the milk ducts (ductal carcinoma in situ-DCIS), then discuss the benefits and risks of taking this medication with your doctor. However, if you are taking tamoxifen to treat breast cancer, then the benefits of taking tamoxifen are greater than the risks of side effects. Get medical help right away if you develop symptoms of a stroke or blood clots in the lungs/legs, such as weakness on one side of the body, slurred speech, sudden vision changes, confusion, shortness of breath, chest pain, or calf pain/swelling. Tell your doctor right away if you develop symptoms of cancer of the uterus, such as unusual changes in your monthly period (e.g., amount or timing of bleeding), unusual vaginal discharge, or pain/pressure below your "belly button" (navel). Finasteride is one of the successful medication to combat hair loss, it has been approved since 1997 as a hair loss medication. It is also popularly known under brand names Propecia and a less so Proscar. Signs of new hair that was really soft came through. I started taking finasteride, well actually expensive Propecia first and I kept going with it, every morning I had 1mg and used minoxidil twice a day. This is a great sign it is working and they still quit. (about 18 months later I switched to finasteride which is cheaper and exactly the same thing in my opinion. No one notices these hairs but you (you’re the one looking so closely)I strongly recommend the 1mg tablets, you do not need a stronger dose and this may result in more side effects. I’ve previously bought the stronger 5mg finasteride and cut into quarters but I felt it was not worth the risk so stopped after a week. The biggest side effect reported is a downturn in sex drive, losing interest in sex, or not so normal ejaculation, I’ve never met anyone this has happened to, not to say it doesn’t happen. It must be terrifying – Not from addiction, but because if you do, your hair reverts back to how it would look without the medication so you are kind of held hostage although with no side effects, it not a big deal to most people. I'm sorry that you are going through this and so very sorry for your loss. I was only given option for miso as they said it was too far along for d and c. Physically - I'm glad I delivered him because my body healed very quickly and I was able to get pregnant again easily. I heard d and c can give you scar tissue that just needs a little extra time to heal but no idea if there is truth to this.doctor would know best. Emotionally - I don't know if a d and c would have been better but taking miso and going through labour and delivery was emotionally scarring and so absolutely devestating overall. However, I will forever remember and be grateful that I got to hold my little boy. You should get the facts from your doctor 're physical implications and then make your decision based on rhat and what you are emotionally prepared for right now. I had a D&c my babe stopped growing at 8 weeks and I found out at 11, I chose the D&c and am glad I did.. the day I knew I was an emotional wreck, I was an emotional wreck for the weekend after that, but I am glad I chose a D&c as I didn't have to watch the tissue pass or go through the painful cramping. I bled for 3 weeks off and on after my d&c but it was light and was like my period. Cytotec Vs D&c BuyOnline - org Cytotec Vs.
